Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
A Nurturing Start to Lifelong Learning
At Tamani International School, our Early Years Programme provides a warm, joyful, and stimulating beginning to every child’s learning journey. Rooted in the UK’s EYFS framework, it supports the holistic development of young learners through meaningful play, exploration, creativity, and secure relationships. Children are encouraged to imagine, express, investigate, and grow at their own pace in an environment designed to inspire curiosity, confidence, and independence.
Our early years spaces are thoughtfully designed to be sensory-rich, engaging, and child-friendly, allowing children to build early language, social awareness, physical coordination, and emotional well-being through hands-on, interactive experiences. Teachers guide learning through stories, inquiry, art, music, movement, outdoor play, and peer collaboration—ensuring every child feels supported, understood, and valued. We recognise each child’s unique strengths and interests, offering multiple pathways to learning that strengthen problem-solving, communication, and foundational literacy and numeracy skills.
The Tamani EYFS Programme lays the essential groundwork for future academic learning and helps young children develop into compassionate, confident, and enthusiastic learners ready for a smooth transition into primary school.
Seven Areas of Learning (EYFS): Personal, Social & Emotional Development; Communication & Language; Physical Development; Literacy; Mathematics; Understanding the World; Expressive Arts & Design.
At Tamani International School, our EYFS methodology progresses beautifully from Baby Class to KG2, ensuring a secure and inspiring start to learning. In Baby Class, children explore through sensory experiences, music, movement, and nurturing routines that build emotional security and early communication. Nursery expands learning through structured play, role-play corners, early phonics, number awareness, art, and growing independence. KG1 deepens foundational literacy and numeracy with systematic phonics, hands-on maths, inquiry activities, imaginative storytelling, and fine-motor skill development. By KG2, children advance into early reading and writing, problem-solving, simple investigations, collaborative projects, and routines that strengthen confidence and school readiness. Across all four levels, our approach remains joyful, engaging, and child-centred fostering holistic development and a lifelong love for learning.
